Roller Blading on the 18th Floor

There is a Russian girl(Marina)who had decided to make more fun on the floor tonight, and she was rollerblading:D, and there was a french floor-mate who was making photo of her.
Well, I made a photo of both, and put it here with their permission:)

Computer Crashes!!

I am doing some heavy calculations with my computer and it makes it too hot! Also, in order to fast data-transfer there is a card called RAID-Card and it is the main reason of the crash. So, as an advice I would say never go for the systems with onboard RAID-Card.well, as a result of heating my computer crashes sometimes and I am used to repair it once a while.
Here is the picture of my computer being repaired, and the girl there is my colleague. Fortunately I had backup of my data and I transfered them to the new system after repairing.
We are going to buy a new 64-bit system that can be used for heavy calculations, and I can run the jobs on it.

One night on our floor! Watching X-Men 2

aujourd'hui, nous avons regardé le film x-men 2. Il était nul, un tas de merde!!!

Actually we watched the X-men 2 with the people of the floor, which they didn't like, and the above is a comment written by Felix. He wrote this in french, cause we watched it on a french channel:-)

Also, I designed some paper about the mess that some unknown guy was doing in our floor and several times we cleaned it. Then I put it on the door,
One of the girls said: " This is too aggressive!", But what should we do if someone is making mess all the time?

A nice weekend!

First of all the picture here is about “fight of the floors", which we got its cup at last. This paper is attached on my door by one of nice floor mates:-)

Last week I found a way to resolve one of the technical problems in my project. Also my first paper was edited by my supervisor from engineering point of view, and we will send it to a surgeon to revise it from clinical point of view. This made me feel more relax, on the weekend.
On friday night, I had some good chat with some of the floor-mates, and I went to bed about 1:00 and slept enough:-)till 11 oclock on Saturday! then, I did shopping eating and cleaning.
My friend Alireza called me and came to Bern, we had dinner together and then we went out. There was a party after roller-blade competition in Bundesplatz which was grat. As a conclusion it was a good night:-)
We woke up at 11 and ate lunch, then he left. I watched a movie, then went for a running and called some of the friends and family. Well, now I am ready for the next week. Hopefully a good week!

Who won the race?

I warmed up for the race and went to 20th floor to see the competitors. The referee told me that we have to run to the ground floor, run outside of the building around a fountain which is about 100m from the building, and come back! shit! I had not practiced this outside part, cause in the announcement it was just about runing down and up:(
By the way, there was a girl who wanted to run, and wanted to have 10% off in her time because she was a girl!!!!!
Also the most interesting part is about one of my supporters who is a french friend (Thibaut), a PhD student in the same institute as me, and lives in a student residence neer ours.
He was there to cheer me:). well the competition started and the best time was 4:37 and I was in the second rank with 4:47. All the people tried and then Thibaut said:"I want to give a try" and suprisingly he ran the path in 4:12!
When finished he said:" I dont want the cup and I have to go, . .so give the cup to my friend Salman". I got the cup sitting with the friends, when Thibaut came with his girlfriend, and you what happened? He took the cup, because his mind changed, or forced to change:)"The power of the girls"
well, today morning he brought the cup, cause his girlfriend was fed up with it.
So 18th floor got the cup,

Sports in switzerland

yesterday (May 13) there was a running competition in Bern, and one of my swiss floormates (Felix) was in the competition. The course was about 7km and the path included one of the squares in the city, where I was waiting to take a photo of Felix. I should add that there were about 5000 participants in his category and there were very old people up to 86 years old!!! in other categories.
Back to the story, I was waiting for the Felix to get there, and for some time I could'nt find him and gave up. I kept watching the runners, and all of a sudden Felix was passing by, waving to me! I tried to take a photo, but it was to late:(

Another story is about fight of the floors in the studenthaus!
The place where I live is a 20 floor student residence, and there are almost 12 people in each floor. There is a competition for running 20 floor down and up, and each floor should present the fastest to take part. The event is on tuesday, and I have already tried to do it! My time was 3:20 min, which is quite good, but still I am not sure wether or not I will take part!!
