This weekend after recovering from the cold we went to Grimselpass. There are three dams and powerplants on 2000m above the see level, and it is the place where the Rhein river starts "you may know the movie from karkhe to rhein". In fact it starts as a small stream between Grimselpass and Oberalp-pass, coming from glaciers! Then the amount of water increases on the way, and it enters some lakes like Interlaken andexits. Its name changes to Aare in Bern. Going Forward it passes from Basel and then enters Germany where it is called Rein and goes forward about 1000 km north to enter the NordSee.
The interesting pint is that the swiss people have built some roads up there and some steam-train for tourists, beside some hotels! check out the pictures.
